Mt. Spurr Volcano/ Alaska Range Flightseeing

Mount Spurr is a volcano in the Rim of Fire and located in the Alaska Range Mountains west of Anchorage. It regularly provides steam vents and gaseous clouds adding to your air adventure. Soaring amongst these mountain peaks will give you an Alaska wilderness perspective achieved no other way.

On this tour we explore amongst the rarely visited nearby Tordrillo Mountains. Named after explorer Josiah Edward Spurr, this volcano is an incredible natural work in progress. Each visit is different in this every changing geologic area. You’ll see glaciers, avalanches, upper mountain tundra and high mountain lakes. We will see the inner Cook Inlet and western shores of this beautiful region. Sign up for an optional landing ($25.00 additional) and get a ground level view of a working fish camp or high mountain homestead cabin. These are great for travelers with additional time. Let us build a tour just for you!
