Mt. Spurr / Alaska Range Flightseeing

“The Secret Place Only Alaskans Know!”

Mount Spurr is a volcano in the Rim of Fire and located in the Alaska Range Mountains west of Anchorage. It regularly provides steam vents and gaseous clouds adding to your air adventure. Soaring amongst these mountain peaks will give you an Alaska wilderness perspective achieved no other way.

On this tour we explore amongst the rarely visited nearby Tordrillo Mountains. Named after explorer Josiah Edward Spurr, this volcano is an incredible natural work in progress. Each visit is different in this ever changing geologic area. You’ll see glaciers, avalanches, upper mountain tundra and high mountain lakes. We will see the inner Cook Inlet and western shores of this beautiful region. Sign up for an optional landing and get a ground level view of a working fish camp or high mountain homestead cabin. These are great for travelers with additional time. Let us build a tour just for you!

This off-the-grid area is a hidden secret known mostly by Alaskans. Our adventure flight route has plenty of diversity of terrain and topography and explores the edge of the Alaska wilderness. Our pilots are from Alaska and our Cessna planes are customized for this environment. Every seat is a window seat and you’ll get two-way Bose noise-cancelling communication headsets, music, and beverages. Standard on all our flights. We can even rig up your Go-Pro camera on one of our specialty mounts!
